Book Summary Atomic Habits by James Clear(part#2)

Four Principles of Changing Behavior is a simple set of rules we can use to build better habits. (1) It makes it clear, (2) it appeals to you, (3) it makes it easy, and (4) it satisfies you. Nature is an invisible hand that shapes human behavior.

How to gain real result:

Book has this sense of movement compared to action. So when you go, you plan and make plans. And that is very different from taking action. Only action can lead directly to real results or to real results. But if movement does not lead to results, why do we do it? Yes, sometimes we need to plan and read. But more often than not it encourages us to feel like we are making progress without risking failure.

Result gain by developing good habit:

Movement makes us feel like we are doing things. But in reality, you are not just preparing for it. If you want to build a habit, you need repetition, not perfection, you need action. Now how long does it take to build a habit? Yes, that’s a bad question. The real question should be how many reps it takes to build a habit because habits are based on frequency, not time. So your current habits are included within hundreds or maybe 1000s of repetitions, new habits will require the same level of frequency. Now, atomic habits may take a while to break free, but they can continue to affect how you behave many hours later. And the two-minute rule uses the fact that when you start a new practice, it should take less than two minutes to do.
